I was excited to learn that Elliott Brood was set to open the 2010 Winter Olympic free concert series. There were no pots and pans this time around but it was great to see the crowd stick it out through the rain.

After seeing their live show it's no wonder Elliott Brood's second album "Mountain Meadows" was shortlisted for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize. The Wooden Sky joined the band on stage to sing and dance along, while the crowd banged their wooden spoons and tin covers to the music. Photos by Jesse Nelson.
