Similar thing happened to me back in 2002 and it still shakes me up. I was heading down the edge of a piste towards a flat. I was going quickly to get across the flat but I was well away from everyone else. A ski instructor decided that I was being dangerous so he chased me down (with him now going a lot faster than I was) and hit me across the knee of my leading leg with his poles. It caught me completely by surprise, my knee buckled and I went down hard. The resulting injury put me out for a few months, but I was lucky it wasn't worse. He initially tried to justify it with the same excuse that this guy did, that I was riding dangerously, but he quickly changed his mind about how good his decision was when he realised how badly i was injured. He quickly and quietly skied off leaving me there on the piste suffering pretty badly and having to ask other people for help. Never got his name. The people behaving dangerously in both these examples are the guys going around attacking people. Neither guy was in a position to impose their own ideas on what is or isn't safe and no matter what they thought no one would have been harmed if the people involved hadn't decided to assault someone. Chasing the geezer off after what he did was totally fair enough, but why go down the getting naked route? The only way I figure you could pull that off was if you then just stood there shouting "I am Sparta!" in his face. He would have shit bricks.

I'm a skier and usually try and defend skiers. But those assholes on skis were completely out of line. You tried to be reasonable the skiers were pricks. You called them out and that was hilarious. People like that give skiers a bad name.

douche move guys Hitting tiny kickers on the side of a busy green run. im a boarder and dont have kids but if i was taking my kids down that run and you came that close to my kids i would do the same thing. however what you both did after that, argue in the middle of the run is pure douche from all involved. if you want to hit kickers do it where your not likely to hit a 5 year old and hurt them. also its hard to see but it looks like he hardly touches you, harden up and ride it off, all the guys yelling "your hit him for no reason" harden up

I don't notice them hitting any side hits once they are within a crowd? They are playing around at the beginning of the video, when they are way ahead of everyone else. It's not a slow zone, and there's a skiers code for a reason. In this case the simple fact that Kevin is ahead of skier dad in the area that it's in puts Kevin in the right. Regardless of whether or not super-dad liked what was going on in front of him, it wasn't a danger to him or his kids until they made an attempt to overtake Kevin and boys, while passing as close as possible. It's not a wide track by any means, but there is no need for him to purposely ride within 5 feet of Kevin when there is plenty of room to go around him. . It seems to me, that it's usually the same type of people saying don't have fun outside of the park, and the ones who take their families through the park and let them stand on take offs and in landings. So tell me, everyone who's backing skier dad for the simple fact that you think Kevin did something wrong to begin with. Next time I get cut off going into a jump in the park, or almost land on a kid who's standing out of view with their parents in the landing of a jump, obviously where they shouldn't be. Am I then entitled to threaten the lives of the people who put me in danger, way beyond overly-aggressive, in front of dozens of people? Is this justified? No matter what could have possibly happened in this video, nothing would have justified the reaction seen from the dad. Nothing. There are plenty of ways to deal with problems in your life. I'd imagine this Dad's got a few of his own. considering what he does for a living, owning an apparently successful company, he must have way better ways to diffuse a negative situation than what he displayed here.
